Listen: Jarreau Vandal - Nobody Else feat. Brasstracks & Niya Wells

Jazz, hip-hop and electronic vibes all blend together in the new single by Jarreau Vandal.

Los Angeles-based collective Soulection have been putting out serious heaters for years now, with everyone from Ta-Ku to Mr Carmack to newcomer Sam Gellaitry recording music for the crew, which is also well-known for their Beats 1 hosted Radio show and their merch collection, including a collaboration with STUSSY. Flying the Dutch flag for the label comes Jarreau Vandal, who rose to popularity after the release of his debut EP in 2014, as well as top-tier remixes for Kendrick Lamar, A-Trak and more. Nobody Else comes as the introduction to the artist's next venture, his Suburb Superhero EP, scheduled to drop early next year. Featuring the man behind the horns, Brasstracks, and R&B vocalist Niya Wells, Nobody Else is a blend of multiple styles of music, incorporating snippets of jazz, hip-hop and funk within the beat, which slides in well underneath Wells' incredible vocal range. The Alicia Keys-sounding vocals work extremely well when paired with that signature Soulection groove, and definitely a good introduction to an EP we are now super keen to hear. Listen below:
