Premiere: Embrace the warm, hazy electronica of Retro Culture's new single, Fading

Like a warm nostalgia blanket that you'll never want to take off.

Melbourne based multi-instrumentalist and producer Retro Culture unveils a new single in Fading, a dreamy slice of electronic pop that gives nods to the electro-pop of yesteryear brought smoothly into 2016. Citing recent Netflix hit Stranger Things as a source of inspiration, Retro Culture said: “The demo version of Fading was actually written a little over a year ago. I think at the time I had hit a wall with the song and decided to move on. But then a few months ago I rediscovered the track and it was around the same time as I was watching Stranger Things. Subconsciously whatever I'm watching or listening to at the time of writing always seeps into the track. I was loving the soundtrack to that show and it gave me this second wind of inspiration to finish the single.”

And we can be thankful that the show did, because Fading is a beautiful piece of music, with the real strength lying Retro Culture's powerful vocal work. It's beautiful stuff, and places Retro Culture firmly on our radar for future releases:
