SAFIA look to the stars in psychedelic new single, Cellophane Rainbow

An unexpected but not unwelcome change of pace for the electronic trio.

What an unexpected delight we have today from SAFIA. Following on from a heap of huge festival sets at Listen Out, OH YES and Yours & Owls, the Canberra trio have released their first new music since last year's debut album Internal, and Cellophane Rainbow is a very nice change of pace. Where much of Internal was full of club-ready, heavy electronic music, Cellophane Rainbow is a swirling piece of electro-psychedelia, which wouldn't be totally out of place in the acid-fueled 60s. It's pretty clear the trio aren't interested in re-hashing past glories as they move on from their very well received debut, and we're excited to see where this trip is headed in the future.
