Mallrat and Basenji combine their strengths on Nobody's Home

The explosive pair will be heading out on a very close to sold out national tour later this year with Kota Banks and NYNE.

Mallrat's rise over the last few years has been almost astronomical, and it couldn't happen to a better person. Since initially capturing our attention with her early, hip-hop-infused work back in 2015 and 2016, the Brisbane star-in-the-making has gone from strength to strength, evolving and growing as a musician and songwriter with release after release. Her 2017 anthem Better opened a new chapter of-kinds for Mallrat, leaning on a more care-free pop sound that in the last 24 months, she's completely adapted to, with last year's In The Sky EP encompassing her continual growth in five slick tracks - including Hottest 100 high-end-reacher GroceriesIn The Sky has allowed Mallrat to blossom into Australia's next big pop name - gaining more traction both internationally and in Australia, where her sets at Falls Festival were often packed tighter than those of the headliners - something that she's completely absorbing and taking on head-first with her first release of 2019, Nobody's Home.

The single sees Mallrat dive into full pop territory, combining a bubbly and light-hearted production by Basenji with a graceful, hook-centred vocal that is simplistic and easily-understood yet also incredibly effective. It's sensational, bringing together the brilliance of both Basenji and Mallrat into one tight, concise package that you just can't get out of your head. Watch the hypnotic, Ariel Fisher-directed video clip below:

It comes hot off the heels of her biggest tour yet, which we see her, Basenji and special guests Kota Banks and NYNE stomp around the country this March/April - including four (!!) dates in Melbourne and three (!!) in Brisbane. Grab more tickets and info HERE, and watch her interview her upcoming tour-mate Kota Banks below (where she quietly lets slip that there's a The Veronicas collaboration on the way...).
