Mexico City Blondes is a name you may not have heard of, but they’re definitely someone to keep on your radar. The duo consists of Allie Thompson and Greg Doscher, who complement each other perfectly. Allie’s vocals cross lines between folk and trip-hop, and when combined with Greg’s alternative organic yet electric production, the result is infectious. They’ve been pretty under the radar since their 2014 single Fade, which reached #1 on Hype Machine charts twice. Thankfully, they’ve just released their self-titled debut EP, featuring their main track First Cut. It holds true to their moody, indie vibes, and is definitely a song to check out.
