Listen: bad tuner - back to my <3

The Brooklyn-based artist unveils his latest EP, a continuous mix from start to finish sound-tracking a night on the dance floor.

Brooklyn-based producer and artist to watch bad tuner follows on from a string of huge releases - which receive continued support from triple j, BBC Radio 1, and KCRW, with his latest highly anticipated EP; back to my <3

Created almost entirely in his bedroom throughout 2021, back to my <3 opens with breakup anthem oxygen, moving seamlessly into the beautifully layered harmonies of dance magnet loverboi, before bringing it down for the groove-driven no peace, closing the night with deep cut echorain, recently actualised with a video made in collaboration with Patrick Elmore to bring the tracks narrative to life.

Recently opening for French duo Polo & Pan at NYC’s Webster Hall, and boasting impressive DJ sets from DIY Brooklyn rooftop parties to Bushwick’s Sultan Room, bad tuner is an experienced performer who has incorporated the art of the flow in back to my <3, each song leading to the next to create one continuous mix. With an overarching theme of a night out on the dance floor, he shares that the vibrant EP is intended to capture “the feeling of dancing with a stranger, lost in a moment of pure lust and excitement when meeting someone new” before a natural evolution to “dancing by oneself, looking inward, realising to nurture a relationship one first needs to be genuine and treat others with respect”.

Out now via LG105 (Ross From Friends, Mall Grab, Fakear, Joe Turner, Mafro), be sure to hit play on back to my <3 below, and listen as bad tuner intended from start to finish to feel the full effect of his artistry.

bad tuner's new EP back to my <3 is out now via LG105 / Virgin Music Australia.
