Get lost in the sights and sounds of Leisure Suite's new clip for Heavy Head
A music video that epitomizes the eternal struggle of being sleepy but not falling asleep.
Melbourne continues to deliver Aussie talent in the realms of funk/electronica/soul, this time with Leisure Suite. Their latest release Heavy Head is hypnotic with a repetitive and blurred synth and melody, and is accompanied by a soothing bassline creating the perfect trance that makes you want to fall asleep the minute you put your headphones on. Think of old-school Sia vocals mixed with the modern-day beats of Chet Faker. It’s a go-to track to make you forget your problems and the world just for a minute.
The music video, directed by James J Robinson, perfectly compliments the dream-like track. Saturated colors and a raw trippy tone make the video simple and intriguing watch, even though Bridgette Le’s voice is practically begging you to take that afternoon siesta amidst a swirl of kaleidoscopic beats. With their second EP Lay Low set for release in February, no doubt these Melbournians are going to have their tracks on many a 'chilled beats' playlist - in the best possible way.
