Brandon Poletti had quite the 2023. The West Aussie country artist took out best country group at the WAM Awards as Brandon Poletti & The Eagleton Brothers, while receiving 5 nominations for the WAM Song of the Year Awards and 8 noms at the WA Country Music Awards.

Keeping that momentum rolling into 2024, Brandon released previous single Slow Down in February and now returns with the warm, emotional sounds of Move Away, out May 17 but premiering on Pilerats today!

Opening with a relaxed backbeat, subtle bassline, flourishing keys and engrossing acoustic guitar plucks and strums, Move Away’s composition provides a relaxed and welcoming environment for Brandon to lyrically explore some of the harder elements of the human experience.

As the song title implies, Move Away sees Poletti tackle the coming of age topic as he reflects on the universally relatable feeling of outgrowing your hometown and seeking the next adventure. Brandon explains “Move Away reflects on the weight of the past and the fleeting nature of time. it’s about a person who feels stuck in a town that no longer feels like home, they grapple with a sense of disillusionment and longing for change. The song captures the essence of their desire to break free from the confines of their current life, contemplating leaving town, pursuing a new job, and perhaps even adopting a new identity.
