Listen: Columbus - Home Remedy EP

A seriously excellent four-track EP from earlier in the year.

I’m seriously concerned about my play count on the Columbus EP, Home Remedy. So many times have I hit shuffle on the same four tracks I actually feel bad for not purchasing the EP more than once. My latest speeding fine, a result of clear skies and these guys, is a regrettable result of how infectiously awesome the EP is. Another supporting argument is the lack of weird looks I’m receiving through car windows singing along at the top of my lungs.

Such a feeling of pure happiness can only be compared to listening to the earlier works of Blink 182 or Box Car Racer. Their lyrics remind you of lost loves or ones gone wrong and both their guitar riffs and drum elements summon sounds that shouldn't exist in the best possible way. If you grew up listening to acts like Brand New and Taking Back Sunday or feature music from The Wonder Years and The Story So Far on your favourte music playlists then it’s our distinguished privilege to introduce you to Columbus.

And we'll see you on the sweaty floor at one of their upcoming live shows, the dates for which you can check after streaming/grabbing the EP via BANDCAMP below:
