Listen: Chvrches - Leave No Trace

Chvrches are back. And so is auto-corrects insistence on spelling it Churches.

Its been a long time but the wait has been worth it, Chvrches first single Leave No Trace off their upcoming album Every Open Eye is out and it doesn't so much challenge their original sound but expand on it. For those who weren't watching Chvrches Facebook page in recent days they have been slowly teasing the cover artwork of their second album which looks like this:

20097 1153103098049615 8339243861715021839 n

Artwork alone I'd consider their forthcoming album one to listen too and if you are much of a New Order fan you might notice similarities with the cover artwork to New Order's Power Corruption & Lies. Perhaps this album is in someway a tribute to their British synth-pop predecessor, regardless if it is or isn't when you consider Leave No Trace on it's own with it's amped chorus crying to be screamed out, the tumbling drums and overall playful nature it's a necessary evolution for Chvrches promising both what everyone fell in love with them for and more.
