Listen: Green Buzzard - Hollywood (Tobias Jesso Jr Cover)

Just after releasing their brit-pop infused debut single Zoo Fly Green Buzzard are back with a cover of Tobias Jesso Jr's heartfelt song about the falsehoods of Hollywood and LA titled Hollywood. Unlike Tobias Jesso Jr's take where the bare nature of the track emphasises the slow piano keys and voice of Jesso Jr Green Buzzard's cover adds a shimmering feel-good guitar riff over the subject matter. Indeed, it has this up-beat mood to it as if despite all the problems it will be fine. It's an interesting take on the song as it shows off the potential talent of Green Buzzard unlike Zoo Fly which felt a bit too safe at times. Green Buzzard are playing their first live show tonight at The Civic Underground for free so you should hop along to see them.
