Genres are mashed to perfection on Rat Boy's new tune, Get Over It

A vibey track from the Essex artist's forthcoming EP.

For those unfamiliar with Rat Boy, think The Avalanches meets Beck meets Jamie T, and you'll be somewhere in the ball park of this indie-punk up and comer's sound. The Essex based artist, who's signed to Dune Rats' own Ratbag Records (we're noticing some kind of rodent theme here), has just released Get Over It - an energetic mash-up of samples and horn sounds with pointed hip-hop delivery. Rat Boy has spent recent times working with some massive talents in the UK, namely Damon Albarn of Blur and Gorillaz fame, and there is a definite Albarn vibe to this tune. Rat Boy's forthcoming EP, also titled Get Over It, drops on August 26 through Ratbag Records/Warner and is sure to showcase a solid mix of what this UK talent has to offer.
