City Calm Down return with new single, Blood, announce Oz tour

The Melbourne four-piece are back after last year's fantastic debut album.

After their much-anticipated and wonderfully-worth-the-wait debut album, In A Restless House, was released last year, City Calm Down are already gearing up for album number two with a telling first taste in Blood. A driving, soaring call to arms, Blood finds the band examining life in a world where day jobs and touring schedules face off: “I ended up quitting my job,” says singer Jack Bourke, “My boss was being inflexible but I was also being self absorbed, and the lyrics reflect that. They touch on the grind of work and how easy it is to isolate yourself from the people who matter to you by being too caught up in your own ambition and what you’re doing."

The single comes with a tour announcement, rollicking through all the capital cities this August/September, check it below:
