City Calm Down covered Foals on LAV this morning and it was glorious

Foals x City Calm Down = Everything you needed.

There's alot of spicy memes going around today being April Fools in the form of Hilltop Hoods x John Farham teaming up for SITG 2016, the cops enlisting Magpies to catch crooks and City Calm Down dropping The Next Episode as a LAV on a recorder. Huge stuff. But amongst all the jokes there's one thing that is not banter, City Calm Down's excellent cover of Foals' Spanish Sahara. This cover doesn't deviate from the original but that isn't important when you get to watch one of Australia's tightest and most impressive live bands plough through a highly cathartic song. And it's only possible because City Calm Down pour so much energy into their own live shows that they're able to do Spanish Sahara justice. And when the brass arrangments come in you know you've got a serious contender for one of the best LAVs of 2016.

And like any LAV City Calm Down also played a track, Fix You, off their debut album In A Restless House which is a definite must-listen and if you're interested in finding out more about City Calm Down then check out our recent feature on them.
