Chance, Tame, Gambino + more: Splendour In The Grass drop their 2019 lineup

Also taking over North Byron Parklands this July are SZA, Foals, James Blake and a whole heap more.

It's that time of year, baby. With much of the Australian festival season now over, all eyes are on Splendour In The Grass to deliver, and after fake lineup after fake lineup, today sees the mega-festival officially unveiled their 2019 lineup and as expected, it's stacked. Taking over their new, semi-permanent home of the North Byron Parklands this Friday, July 19th to Sunday, July 21st is a lineup reflective on what's been a mammoth twelve months for new music – not counting what's due before Splendour's arrival this year – with many of music's best making the Byron parklands home for the weekend.

Leading the pack is a mix of Australian and international names that have dominated the last year or are set to dominate the year ahead, with Tame Impala, Chance The Rapper, Childish Gambino, SZA, Foals, Catfish and the Bottlemen and James Blake on headline duties. As expected, there's an incredibly strong Australian card to the billing, with headliners Tame Impala joined by Pilerats favourites including Cosmo's Midnight, Meg Mac, Thelma Plum and Dear Seattle underneath, while internationals dominate the top-half of the lineup – with the headliners joined by Dave, Maribou State, Tycho and Local Natives as you move away those big, blockbuster names.

There's a bit more analysis to be done on the lineup in regards to what exactly it hints at for the year ahead in music, particularly Australian music, but while we wait for that to arrive, take a dive into Splendour's full 2019 billing below, and grab your tickets HERE when they go on sale next Thursday, April 11th.
