Pizza Delivery Boy Gets Stabbed, Delivers Pizza Anyway
Pepperoni through the pain.
If you're struggling to wrap up something at work, this story should give you the inspiration to get the job done. Josh Lewis, a 25 year old employee at Spinelli’s Pizzeria, in Louisville, Kentucky, was making a delivery last Sunday to a nearby hospital (clearly health professionals even drop the ball when it comes to maintaining a healthy diet) when a guy jumped out of a black Jeep, robbed him, stabbed him, then stole his car.
Apparently Lewis made it into the emergency room, pizza in hand, and said “delivery for Norton Hospital?” before collapsing in the foyer. We guess if you’re going to collapse, a hospital foyer is a good place to do it. Lewis’ boss told the Courier Journal that he was “an amazing kid” “a sweetheart” and a great employee, making it even more of a bummer that he got stabbed. More than 130 people from Louisville and across the U.S. have donated to an online fundraising campaign for Lucas, with the $5,400 raised so far going to Lewis and his family (you can donate here if you're feeling it).
But it’s all okay – Lewis is gonna pull through! Although we doubt he’s going to game enough to go through near-murder for a Margharita again.
