Go behind the scenes of the Battle Of The Bastards

Surely one of the most epic medieval battles ever committed to screen?

*SPOILERS...OBVS*

The penultimate episode of each Game Of Thrones season has beheld many incredible moments for the almost six season-old TV show. In fact I would argue it's what keeps us watching throughout each season a show which at times spins its wheels to an almost painful degree. But when the pay offs are as good as holding the door or shit like The Battle Of The Bastards, you can probably sit through one more speech from the Dragon Queen to a bunch of soldiers while she sits atop a dragon. I wonder if people will ever tire of it though. Anyway, I digress. Last night's bastard versus bastard battle lived up to the build-up, in what was surely one of the most epic medieval battles ever committed to screen - be it cinema or television. And HBO have released the below short doc taking you through the battle's various - and expensive - components. It took almost a month to shoot, and cost tens of millions of dollars to make. While the level of CGI on display is large, the coolest thing is seeing which partsĀ weren't CGI, like our little header image above.

There's only one episode left, so you may as well absorb as much as you can before we're left waiting for Season 7 to begin:
