Fetty Images is the new standard in stock images
Now to get to work on doing this to ALL Getty Images.
In 2015, hip hop/rap and memes have become almost co-dependent on each other. Highlighted no further than that Drake video that came out which you probably haven't watched in full, but we're damn sure you've watched a shitload of memes based on it. In a classic case of reverse engineered marketing, you can bet your sweet bottom-now-we're-here dollar that Drake's team shot that video with memes in mind. It didn't quite get the single to number one the Billboard 100, but slap our ass and call us charlie if every DJ around the world hasn't been requested to play that song at least once over the past month or so.
Fetty Wap's Trap Queen has been another of this year's massive rap singles, and like any new-age rap artist, he's gotta be opened to meme-age, and as far as memes go @FettyImages on Twitter is pretty great. It really hasn't taken off like it should, but after we found it on Vice's i-D channel, we thought it's time to spread the good word. Here's some choice examples from the relatively fresh Instagram account. We honestly hope this just becomes the new Getty Images. That'd be fantastic. And this is your chance to be there at the beginning of something beautiful.
