With fires raging in WA's south west today, in particular the Waroona region, Southbound have released an official statement intended for those heading to the festival tomorrow in light of main road closures. Below is an image of the map for the detour, starting when you get to Pinjarra and heading east. Read on below that for the official statement, maybe leave a bit earlier than you planned and be safe peeps! We'll see you in the Lefties tent from 5pm when Koi Child, HWLS and ourselves hit the stage <3

southbound map

"We’ve been informed from West Australian Police and Department of Fire and Emergency Services that the South West and Forrest Highway is more than likely going to be closed tomorrow. As a result, alternative access is required to get to the event. We are working with the WA Police and Department of Fire and Emergency Services moving forward and will provide more updates after we have spoken to them in more details later today. In the meantime, this is the alternate access plan.

The fire, which started Wednesday afternoon and reached emergency status during the night and intoThursday morning, has closed a number of roads, including:
·             Forrest Highway, closed between Pinjarra Road and Raymond Road.
·             South Western Highway, closed between Coolup townsite and Johnston Road.
·             Nanga Road, closed between Nanga Brook Road and Driver Road.
·             Old Coast Road, closed between Old Bunbury Road and Forrest Highway.

As it stands on Thursday, drivers would have to detour via Collie/Darken and Boddington to get to Bunbury and Busselton.
For a full list of road closures, MAIN ROADS and to keep updated with all alerts and warnings, visit DFES.
