Listen: Yung Lean - Bathtub
Yung Lean releases a track from the vault, Bathtub, just in time to cry yourself to sleep tonight.
The ever-confusing, ever-amusing 18 year-old Swedish rapper Yung Lean has blessed the Internet with a new track, Bathtub, his first solo musical offering since Volt, that we wrote about in November (Wow, that seemed like only yesterday, time really flies when you’re a cloud rap fan - although, with all that purple drank, you’d think things would maybe slow down a little?)
He's accompanied the track with the comment 'old song', so we can assume it's something from the vault, although the jury's out - maybe he's just high, and messin' with us, and its new material? Either way. 'Blowin' THC / Shawty wanna come with me?' raps Lean through a haze of smoke. Lit, as usual. None of his favourite beverage orange juice this time but, just doobies. Like Volt, his flow is slightly faster than the slow, syllable-emphasising stuff that was previously his signature. The beat’s by Lean’s mate from Gravity Boys (Sweden’s other white boy hip hop crew) White Armor, who also co-produced Volt.
Something for you #SadBoys and #SadGirls to cry to when your face hits the pillow tonight.
