Listen: Young Thug & T.I. - Off Set
After proving their chemistry on About the Money, Young Thug & T.I. link up for a Fast & Furious OST feature.
If there’s anything you can say about the Fast and Furious franchise, is that it exists pretty much exclusively on the fine line between tacky and fantastic. Over the top, ‘that’s probably not possible’ moments are well and truly the flavour of choice. It would be an insult to accompany such outrageous visuals with anything other than a track that boasts the exact same qualities. Following up from the huge Danza Kuduro from Don Omar - that came with F&F6 - is a tough task for anyone, there's not many can boast an equal level of impressively decadent audio swag as Omar.
Not many that is, except Young Thug & T.I., who chase up their successful collab About the Money, with a new track Off Set, for the upcoming F&F7 film OST. With its punchy beat, Young Thug adlibs and a plethora of international automobile name drops, the track's basically an unabashed tribute to ridiculous finance, and unreleased foreign whips. Anyone expecting ground-breaking lyricism and metaphors will likely be disappointed, but the track's mechanical-materialism is a match made in rev-head-heaven with the ridiculous/awesome shit you’ll no doubt be be seeing on screen in F&F7. Watch below, along with the film trailer.
