Fresh off a shout out in our must-see acts at BIGSOUND this year (happening right as I type!), Agung Mango continues to build to his MAN ON THE GO EP (out October 14), with latest vibe-filled single, GUAP POP, featuring the one and only Genesis Owusu.
Picking up where previous single RUNAWAY left off, GUAP POP has a healthy dose of jazz and funk in its experimental hip hop/alt-r&b DNA, while Mango’s catchy vocal hooks sit perfectly alongside smooth bars, with Owusu stepping up in the second half for some signature rapid-fire bars.
On the meaning behind GUAP POP, Agung explains "It's about those times where you find yourself working overtime, hustling and beating the mental battles all for the sake of earning a little more. Creatives generally struggle financially until they reach a certain level, and GUAP POP is about that struggle, but also the dedication and hunger to reap the rewards of our hard labour."
