Listen to Internet Money's huge new collab with Lil Mosey and Lil Tecca, JETSKI
The fiery new collaboration is the first single from Taz Taylor and co. since the runaway success of Lemonade last year.
When we were first introduced to Internet Money, it was at a time where we felt they were being a little overlooked. It was on the eve of their debut album as a collective (last year's B4 The Storm), which was a bit of a dark horse in the international hip-hop world despite being the brainchild of one of rap's go-to producers and songwriters: Taz Taylor (who has charting hits with Lil Tecca, Rich The Kid, Drake, The Kid LAROI and more under his belt behind-the-scenes).
Nevertheless, the album did end up taking off, largely thanks to the runaway success of the Gunna, Don Toliver and Nav-assisted Lemonade. Following the release of the album last year, Lemonade found itself in a burst of virality that was built upon by its Roddy Ricch-featuring remix, which wound itself into the high points of both the Billboard Charts in the US and the ARIA Charts down here in Australia, while also being a rare cross-over that made it into the triple j Hottest 100 too.
With the success of Lemonade (and B4 The Storm) behind them, Taz Taylor and co. have lurched forward as a newcoming success to hip-hop's forward-thinking future; the collective etched forward as an exciting act synonymous with the genre's versatility and range in the future. It's something that shows now again, with the release of their first single since B4 The Storm and the Lemonade remix in the form of JETSKI, another high-profile collaborative effort featuring Lil Mosey and Lil Tecca.
As with much of their debut record, JETSKI is a masterclass in collaboration, and how to use your signature style to bring out the best in your collaborators. It's energetic and fun, thick-cut with the group's polished production craft that amplifies the pacing verses of Lil Mosey and Lil Tecca, who adapt to the single's rushing production with ease. It's a song that really mirrors the high points of B4 The Storm's collaborative energy, and what happens when everything falls perfectly into place.
"We want to be everywhere. Everyone will have no choice but to get to know Internet Money," says Taz Taylor as they approach a new year of Internet Money. With a new album incoming - said to include more guest features, some bigger than ever - we can't help feel that Internet Money is going to be a remarkably unforgettable name.
