Listen to BROCKHAMPTON's fire new collab with Danny Brown, BUZZCUT
It's the first single from the hip-hop group since sharing their latest album, GINGER, back in 2019.

Even if they haven't shared three albums in 12 months like they would in the SATURATION days, BROCKHAMPTON haven't exactly been quiet over the last year. After the release of their pop-edged 2019 album GINGER, the group were inundated in touring until they knuckled down on their forthcoming new material, which even with the disruption of COVID-19, didn't slow down. They shared a remix of their commercial breakthrough SUGAR featuring Dua Lipa, and shared a few teases of new music which were then quickly deleted - not much but a trace of them left remaining online.
Now, however, they're back - and for real this time. Their new single BUZZCUT is a preview of their forthcoming new record anticipated for later this year; a collaboration featuring hip-hop heavyweight Danny Brown that perhaps teases the vibe and sound of their next record, and how the group have continued to evolve and further themselves in the time since GINGER two years back.
From the get-go, BUZZCUT is explosive. It's etched with high-energy experimentalism similar to what we saw with their SATURATION trilogy, aiming for a more aggressive hip-hop sound that manages to pack a serious punch - something emphasised with the addition of Danny Brown thrown in there too. It's an interesting twist from the group after many thought that GINGER would lead them further up the pop route; BUZZCUT instead sounding something more Denzel Curry-esque with its rough jagged edges.
Currently, not too much is known about BROCKHAMPTON's forthcoming record. However, if BUZZCUT is anything to go by, it may have a bit of a collaborative side, and seems to incorporate this almost-otherwordly feeling to it.
The single arrives with an official video directed by Dan Streit with creative direction from Kevin Abstract, and you can take a dive into it below, while you wait for more information on BROCKHAMPTON's new album coming 'imminently'.
