BROCKHAMPTON launch radio show, drop new single 1999 WILDFIRE

Make sure you catch the 'world's best boyband' at their debut Australian shows this September.

The rise of BROCKHAMPTON over the last year has been almost unparalleled, with the multi-member hip-hop boyband transforming themselves from a cult hip-hop group to one of the world's biggest and most exciting through the release of their acclaimed SATURATION trilogy. 1999 WILDFIRE is the first new single from the group since the final trilogy chapter dropped late last year and signals a slightly new direction for the group after the loss of one of the band's central figures Ameer Vann, who was dropped from the group after allegations of sexual misconduct and abusive behaviour came to light over social media. It's a slightly more R&B-rooted single that combines their signature sound with one comparable to acts like Outkast, uniting their bright vocal with a soulful and quite traditional hip-hop sound that perfectly complements the group's verses.

The single was released alongside the first episode of Things We Lost In The Fire, a new Beats1 show curated by the group that is set to preview unreleased BROCKHAMPTON every week alongside skits and interludes, choice cuts, interviews and more. It's also, presumably, the latest tease of their upcoming album Best Years Of Our Lives, which is expected a little later in the year after its initial July release was pushed back. Check out the single below, and be sure to catch their debut Australian shows in September with Listen Out Festival, which was just joined by headline shows in Sydney and Melbourne.
