RL Grime and Boys Noize unite for heaving new collaboration, Pressure

The hectic, bass-heavy single is one of the sure highlights of the LA producer's upcoming second album, NOVA.

In the lead-up to RL Grime's forthcoming second album NOVA, we really have no idea what to expect. In a quick interview we had with the producer back around this time last year, he mentioned that the album is going to "explore a brighter sound" in comparison to his debut VOID, and with singles like the Jeremih-featuring Undo last month, we sorta get where he's going. That was, however, until he threw a bit of a curveball at us for his latest single Pressure.

Produced alongside Boys Noize, Pressure is a clanging, genre-bending epic that unites this really dark and sinister sound with the signature bass heaviness of both RL Grime and Boys Noize in their respective sounds, neither collaborator overwhelming the traits and sounds of the other. Initially premiered in his latest Halloween Mix, Pressure sets itself apart from NOVA's already-released singles in its ferocity, bringing back that classic RL Grime experimentalism in a bit of a different way thanks to the addition of Boys Noize.

Check out the single below, and pre-order NOVA ahead of its release on July 27 HERE – full tracklisting also below.
