Exclusive: Australia's premier partiboi Stingray returns with new song/video, Get Stingy

The latest track from the New Balance-repping dance mastermind comes with a national tour this month.

Where do you even begin with an act like Stingray? Emerging from the shadiest corners of Australian club land, the New Balance-donning figure is something you have to experience to understand; words really can't do him justice. Over the last few years, he's treated us time and time again, whether it be introducing himself through a resume and an iconic photoshoot that remains one of our favourites all these years later, keeping it 69 in the clip for Always Keeps It 69 (a love story "between a New Balance 624 connoisseur and his very lucky male blow-up doll"), or welcoming us to the Stingzone with DJ $EX, which came with a few tour dates and a v-good story from our ex-editor concerning running into - or not running into - Stingray at the Splendour Gold Bar a few years back.

Past aside, today marks the arrival of Stingray's next barb-to-the-heart, dropping a new single, Get Stingy, and its accompanying, New Balance-laden video. There's a lot going on here - train commuters being chased for wearing the infamous 624's, Stingray's mum donned in all black and that signature chain and sunglasses combo and a whole heap more, so we'll let the man himself give it an explanation. "It's throwback, 90s-flavoured hip-hop paired with the voice of our generation. It's throwback comfort and style paired with god like physiques and dance prowess. It's the CEO of New Balance's wet dream dripping down the structured, acute corners of a sleek New Balance shoe box. A box which houses the greatest, yet most understated shoe in street style history. It's fun. It's Hot. It'll make your heart trot."

Check out the clip below, directed by W.A.M Bleakley, then catch him at a bunch of east coast tour dates through the next month - trust us when we say they're unmissable.
