Premiere: Feki takes MayaVanya's Rockets to the stars

Damn you Feki.

In a year filled with them, Brisbane's Feki has been one of the standout producers of 2015. The unassuming young producer has had our attention all year with both his remixes and originals, so when the opportunity arose to premiere his latest effort...well there was no discussion really. This time he's turned his honest brand of emotive electronica to Melbourne-via-NZ-via-Croatia sister duo MayaVanya's latest single, Rockets feat. Tali. With a distinctively moody aesthetic, MayaVanya cite such luminaries as Jamie xx, Moodymann and The Weeknd as some current inspiriations, and it's an irresistible melting pot when combined with the sisters' own talent. At a time when the ethos of electronic music seems to be "bigger is better" a lot of the time, the restrained, minimal sounds of MayaVanya show a sophistication in their simplicity that we're goshdarn feeling.

And combined with the equally thoughtful production of Feki makes a pretty fantastic pairing. While Feki's remix output has been prolific this year, the dude is picking tracks he should be remixing, and once again the results speak for themselves. So we're gonna shutup and let you tune in below:
