Listen: Urban Cone - Weekends (Feki Remix)

Brisbane wunderkind takes on Urban Cone’s latest single ahead of their Australian tour.

Brisbane beat-maker and one of Pilerats' fave producers Feki has released a remix of Urban Cone’s track Weekends, ahead of their brief Aussie tour and Splendour appearance this month (dates below). You may be familiar with the Swedish four-piece through Porter Robinson’s Lionhearted (speaking of which, there’s still a couple of last tickets left for his Splendour In The Grass Perth sideshow that we’re presenting – check HERE) or their breakout single Sadness Disease, with their upbeat synth-pop causing a storm amongst the music world. Feki takes on this warm synth-pop vibe head-on, smashing the uplifting synth chords of the hook with a ton of bass and snare drum rolls, stripping back the multi-textural original production and producing something more chilled-out. Have a listen to the young producer’s take on Weekends below and if you dig, check out Feki’s other stuff HERE, HERE and HERE.

URBAN CONE TOUR DATES:

Thursday July 23 – Metro Theatre, Sydney (with Everything Everything)

Friday July 24 – Splendour In The Grass, Byron Bay (SOLD OUT)

Saturday July 25 – The Corner, Melbourne (with Everything Everything)
