Perth's AXEN unveils electrifying new direction on heavy new EP, Droid Bass

"Aggressive bass, plenty of emotion and a whole lot of robot sounds."

One of the west coast's most exciting young producers, AXEN has just unveiled a new EP via old homies Circus records in Droid Bass, and what a beast it is. Working alongside plenty of pals like Oriental Cravings, Nayu and Wraith, it's four powerful tracks that hint at a new direction for producer, one that promises to bring some big sounds to a dancefloor near you:

"Droid Bass is the new sound I’ll be pushing out from now on and its only fitting for my debut EP to be named after it. Aggressive bass, plenty of emotion and a whole lot of robot sounds, I spent the whole of last year trying to perfect this sound and I’m really excited for everyone to hear this new direction."

Inventing your own genres to try and encapsulate what it is you're doing? That's something we can definitely get behind:
