Listen: Vincent - Only

Vincent samples The Weeknd in his first single under his new moniker.

By now you should probably be familiar with the work of XVII, with the 20-year-old Winnipeg producer building quite a name for himself thanks to a constant stream of new remixes. Last month, the producer switched up his name and style, ditching his signature, synth-dense drops for a more refined sound, released under the Vincent alias. After teasing us with a remix of Alessia Cara's Herethe producer has dropped Only, his first original under the new name. The song kicks in straight away, with Vincent pitching up the chorus of The Weeknd's smash hit The Hills for a ripper of a build up that just explodes at the one minute mark, with an avalanche of bass and weirdly-pitched synth dominating above trap horns and percussion.
