With the hype surrounding his long-awaited debut EP building, the producer has delivered once again, this time teaming up with Drifting Lights for Purple Heart. Purple Heart continues MUTO’s consistent run of releases, with Drifting Lights bringing one of the strongest vocal debuts of recent years, adding a hazy, upbeat vocal touch to an instrumental littered with dark synth lines. The most impressive part of Purple Heart for me is that synth layering, with MUTO blending several synth melodies to create a multi-faceted harmony that gives the track depth and complexity.
