Listen: Soulection Radio Feat. Ta-Ku

Two hours of straight bliss.

Beat 1 Radio has been a mixed success; sure I wouldn’t expect Royal Blood and Jack Garratt to be played side by side but other than being on your iPhone it’s just another radio station. But where Apple destroys radio is with their artist / label curated stations. My personal favourites are The Crocodile Hour with Josh Homme of Queens Of The Stone Age and Soulection Radio. Soulection, for those not in the know, is a label, management and touring company with a focus on new wave electronic music or as they call it ‘The Sound Of Tomorrow’. This vague turn of phrase encapsulates the great unknown of what tomorrow’s music holds. Soulection radio episode #221 with Ta-Ku nails this concept. The first hour curated by Joe Kay focuses around little-known artist Amsterdam Jarreau Vandal but then Kay spins cuts like Drake’s Hotline Bling. And from 1:07:00 you can hear Ta-Ku take you through his most played songs on iTunes. For the full set list of what is played click here.
