LEISURE announce new album and national tour with new single, On My Mind

The New Zealand dance group's second album, TWISTER, will arrive on July 26th.

New Zealand collective LEISURE are quickly gaining steam as one of our neighbouring country's most exciting acts, with a streak of brilliant singles over the last year - Feeling FreeFallingEasy Way Out, The Hype and Tied Out - further solidifying their craft of creating catchy moments of shimmering dance-pop you can't quite get out of your head. It's something their debut album, 2016's self-titled effort, really brought to the table and something their second album is set to further cement when it arrives on July 26, titled TWISTER. "We make our favourite things when we become creatively unconscious," they say on the release. "Our sophomore album was a good opportunity for us to explore new ideas, we took turns as the album took shape to fall in love with each song and the process of how each one was made. Landing with an eclectic collection of 14 songs; each swirling with their own mood and colour… we are very proud to share with the world TWISTER.

It arrives alongside a bunch of new news for the band, including the album's next tease and, after a pair of shows just a few weeks back, a full national Australian return. On My Mind is the album's next taste as a part of a very slow and gradual roll-out, with their shimmering synth-pop coming front and centre once again as vocals dance around themes on "dealing with an intense magnetism to a significant other and giving in to the power that takes hold." Then, there's the tour, which will see LEISURE bring their infamous live show to Perth and Adelaide for the first time, along with the usual stops of Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne. Stay tuned for the full album's release shortly, but in the meantime, stream On My Mind below and grab tickets to their upcoming tour HERE.
