Kota Banks signs to NLV Records with monster pop tune Holiday

A (pop)star is born.

There is a dance-pop scene that's been bubbling just below the surface of Australian music, and while it may be taking a while for the charts to catch up, we're definitely on the right track. Artists like Nicole Millar, George Maple and Kira Puru (who just released a fantastic new single this week) are leading the charge, and today Kota Banks joins their ranks with her new single, Holiday. Everything just works. Whether its Kota Banks' fun, engaging delivery, Swick's forward-thinking production or the cool af video clip (created by an all-female production team lead by director Ella Carey and shot by Meg White), everything about this just screams huge pop moment.

And it shouldn't come as a surprise really, it's been a couple of years since we first met Kota Banks, but she's been heavily involved in music for a long time - co-penning Australia’s song for 2017 Junior Eurovision while also writing for the likes of Singapore pop sensation Tabitha Nauser, SUPER CRUEL and Nina Las Vegas. Along with that, her single with MOZA, Empty Streets, is currently rocking over 13 million streams on Spotify. So yeah, we can't wait to see what comes out of the NLV Records relationship, which will include an EP not only featuring Swick, but Touch Sensitive. With plenty of exciting times ahead let's just start at first things first - the video clip for Holiday.
