Meet Sweat It Out's new signing Jordan Brando and his steamy new thumper, Rockin

Already being repped by the likes of Fisher, Chris Lake and RUFUS DU SOL.

Melbourne's Jordan Brando is a 20-years-young producer who's just released Rockin - one of those tracks you've probably seen bumpin' around on various social media videos for the past few months while waiting patiently for it to drop. It's his first release with the legends at Sweat It Out via their Club Sweat sub, and it bangs just as hard as it looks.

In advance of his world takeover, we slung Jordan Brando a few questions - get to know him before you catch him supporting Fisher at Melbourne's Listen Out After Party, along with a host of big shows in the pipeline.

Tell us about yourself?

I’m 20 years old born and bred in Melbourne. I’ve been producing for just over two and a half years however was first introduced to electronic music when I stumbled upon hardstyle due to my primary school going through the ‘Melbourne Shuffle’ stage haha - so cringe. Since then music has become my passion and a big part of my life.

What kinda tunes we talkin’?

Anything house, techno and disco.

Production/writing process:

Such an interesting thing to talk about, I honestly don’t have too much of a process or formula for my records but I try to give them as much character as possible and to tell a bit of a story. I don’t like to think too much about it, just let it come together naturally as I’m feeling it. Usually the best records for me are the ones that come together quite fast and in the moment.

Can you tell us about your new single, Rockin’?

I wrote it back in December last year about a week before my set at Beyond The Valley. I wrote 95% of the record in a few hours and then got some feedback and made some final changes. It has since received a really good reaction and everyone has been asking for it so nine months later here it is! It’s been played by Fisher and also Chris Lake to name a few.

Any shows coming up?

Always playing shows most weekends in Melbourne but ones I’m really excited for Camelphat at Shed 9 on September 27 and A Day Of: PAWSA on October 27, plus I just got announced to support Fisher at the Listen Out after party in Melbourne.

What’s the rest of the year have in store?

Touring Australia off the back of my new single Rockin during October and November and also playing at Beyond The Valley over NYE.

Where can we hear more of your music?

Spotify, Apple Music, Soundcloud… you know the drill.
