Jon Hopkins unveils stunning new video for 'Singularity' ahead of his Laneway visit

He'll be in the country next February as part of St Jerome's Laneway Festival 2019.

Having been just announced as joining next year's St. Jerome's Laneway Festival, revered producer Jon Hopkins has today unveiled a stunning new video clip for his recent album Singularlty's title track. Directed by Seb Edwards, Hopkins proclaims it's the "single most epic video I've ever made."

"Seb has been a friend and collaborator for nearly 15 years now, but this is the first opportunity we’ve had to work with total freedom on a video for my own music. The power of what he has done left me speechless the first time I saw it. He translated the themes of destruction and defiance that I fed into the music into a powerful, violent ballet between male and female and I totally love it."

And look, we're not gonna argue, it's a real work of art, and at a time when music becomes more and more disposable, that search for music and visuals that make you feel something can feel neverending. So shut down the outside noise for a few minutes, put this on full screen, pull the headphones on and go somewhere with Hopkins and Edwards for a while:
