Get ready to cut shapes to Roland Tings' new track, Higher Ground

Fresh off the back of a round of tour dates with Laneway Festival, with a whole heap of shows just announced too.

Especially prevalent on tracks including Pala, Hedonist and last December’s Eyes Closed, the addictively-bubbling productions of Melbourne based producer Roland Tings has seen him become one of Australia’s best house producers. His tracks, not shy from the sweaty, early-morning dancefloors of Australian clubs, ooze with an unbeatable, head-nodding energy that, when replicated live, get festivals and headline shows alike moving and swaying – even in the early and hot Summer afternoons (in the case of his just-finished run with Laneway Festival, anyway). In 2017, fresh from supporting names including Chrome Sparks and RÜFÜS in the US, Roland Tings is set to dominate, having just announced a headline tour off the back of his Laneway shows and an exciting new EP Each Moment A Diamond, with its accompanying first single Higher Ground.

Featuring the delicate vocals of Los Angeles multi-talented producer and vocalist Nylo, Higher Ground sees Roland Tings flex his song-writing muscle in a contrasting piece of work, that seamlessly blends the soft, aforementioned vocal work with Roland Tings’ signature house groove that pulses with deep bass kicks and crisp percussion, plus the occasional rumble of guitar. If you missed his set at Laneway Festival in the few weeks just gone, Tings debuted a new two-piece live set-up with live percussion – resembling the live set up of esteemed touring mate Chrome Sparks. He’s just announced an extensive headline tour this coming April for all you sleepers who missed out on his festival show, be sure not to miss it (click through the tour poster for tickets).
