Chromeo drop a fiery-hot remix of Lorde's Green Light

Chromeo drop a fiery-hot remix of Lorde's Green Light

The Canadian electro-funk duo light up Lorde's catchy album lead.

New Zealand star Lorde is quickly approaching a global pop-star level, especially in the lead-up to her long-awaited sophomore record Melodrama. Fresh from killing Coachella with a gripping co-headline slot and dominating a heap of appearances since, Lorde has just delivered another bite-sized pocket of hype in the lead-up to the record release in two weeks time, enlisting Canadian funk bros Chromeo to remix the album's lead single, Green Light. Chromeo's Green Light pieces together the touches of electro-pop from the original and amplifies them, layering Lorde's carefree vocals over a driving bassline, slick synth work, and some very Daft Punk-esque vocaloid use. It's an undeniably good remix and does its job very nicely in increasing the hype for Melodrama (and new Chromeo too, for that matter) ahead of its release on June 16.
