Watch: Tame Impala - Currents In The Making
Like you need another reason to get excited about Tame's upcoming album.
If you’ve heard some of the tracks off Tame Impala’s upcoming album Currents, such as ‘Let It Happen’, ‘Eventually’ and ‘Cause I’m A Man’, you probably don’t need many more reasons to be fully pumped for this record, but here’s one anyway.
With the July release date for Currents creeping up on us, the band has released a behind-the-scenes video called ‘Currents in the Making’. The video briefly chronicles the creative process of the album, highlighting the lonely nature of Kevin Parker’s production process and the comfortable mood-lighting environment he seems to dwell in. The behind-the-scenes clip, directed by Matt Sav, is accompanied by ‘Nangs’ - one of the smaller interlude tracks on the album. We’ve rarely gotten to see where or how all the magic happens with Tame’s creative process – on the road or in Parker’s studio – and ‘Currents in the Making’ is a fresh outlook at Parker, but still doesn’t give too much away.
Currents is out on the 17th of July on Interscope. Watch ‘Currents in the Making’ below:
