Watch: Stella Donnelly - How Was Your Day?

The singer-songwriter releases her latest track + accompanying video alongside the news of a forthcoming album and nationwide tour coming later this month.

Stella Donnelly fans rejoice, as the iconic WA artist releases a new single today; How Was Your Day? (following Lungs release a couple months ago), a track lifted from her forthcoming album Flood due later this month, which will be accompanied by a nationwide tour.

Buoyant and jangly with deadpan vocals that soar to euphoric levels come the track's chorus’, How Was Your Day? is an honest love song detailing all the warm fuzzy parts, but also the not so pleasant moments. On the release Stella shares that “This is my attempt at building a song out of a very specific dynamic between two monogamously involved people. The verses are just excerpts from real conversations, fragments of what two people talk about when they both know they need to have a real talk but neither wants to be the one to bring it up. continuing that  “This song came out of lockdown and seeing a lot of friends break up or get married.”

With a playful video directed by Nick Mckk and Claire Giuffre, juxtaposing shots of soccer games and car wrecks - fittingly accompanying the singles themes, be sure to give How Was Your Day? a listen/ watch below, as you check when Stella Donnelly will be playing a city near you below.
