Premiere: Northeast Party House do a warehouse party right in the video for Heartbreaker

Get sweaty with the boys in a dingy Melbourne warehouse.

It's 2016 and with their new album DARE it feels like Northeast Party House have wholly and truly embraced their (rightful) place as Australia's answer to the glory days of DFA Records (LCD Soundsystem, The Rapture, Holy Ghost!). Danceable-as-shit indie bangers litter the release, and latest single from it, Heartbreaker, is like a tightly wound coil of indie-dance that's as crisp and energetic as they come, and would comfortably sit alongside any of the good works from those acts. And Heartbreaker not only references those bands, there's definitely a hint of the guitar-driven work of the likes of Bloc Party and Foals to go with it, and their frenetic new video clip will take you right back to the club and that time when Foals performed Hummer while the kids from Skins got supremely cooked all around it.

Fucking love it. Northeast Party House feel like a band who are really hitting their straps two albums in, and this is a sound (and video clip) that deserves your attention. Especially when you consider the fact the boys footed the bill for the booze and the space themselves, and (unsurprisingly) didn't get that bond back.
