Mossy’s Ginsberg is your humpday cure
Ginsberg oozes a Jeff Buckley vibe.
Signed to I OH YOU, it’s always something to check then, is Mossy, a Sydney-based act who you who was once the actor for H20 Just Add Water, you can read about it all here in this fantastic interview with i-D. Currently he’s only put out two singles; Electric Chair and his current song Ginsberg which are part of his debut EP Mossy and do you need to hear this song. Titled after the poet Allan Ginsberg it’s a sparse but not minimalistic in an electronic sense, and it sets the mood for what is to come. And what unwinds itself gently is a mixture of slow-rock with a heady dash of grandeur and lyricism that strikes something within you. The mixture of melancholy but also expansiveness draws you in before Mossy utters, ‘No-one is around if you wanna scream something obscene,’ and that’s where I perked up. On face value, it doesn’t necessarily grab you as a lyric but wrapped up in the drama of Ginsberg it’s makes as much sense as breathing. You can catch him playing in Sydney, the details are below:
