Listen: LAHGO - Control

The outfit continue to effortlessly blend genres in their latest upbeat track, lifted from their forthcoming debut EP.

Finalist in the Terry’s Battle of the Bands comp, supporting the likes of Don West and Sloan Peterson, and selling out most of Eora/Sydney’s iconic live music venues, LAHGO are a outfit on the rise, as they gear up for the release of their debut EP Chasing the City due for release in February 2023. Fusing story-driven melodic rap with indie- rock and soul stylings, the group unveil their latest single lifted from the EP today, titled; Control

With the echoing ring of guitars, grooving bass lines, and an exhilarating foot-tapping beat, Control explores pressures that artists face and the feelings around being helplessly exposed when creating and releasing their craft. Firing away with the opening line “We’re supposed to take control, with the fire in our soul and no guide to get us there at all” front-woman Mel Bailey elaborates with the positive spin that “Having Control in what you want to do is believing  in yourself first. From there everything will follow”.

Chasing the City’s not only see's the band release an impressive body of work, but comes alongside a tour planned for early in the new year - so be sure to get across LAHGO and their diverse concoction of sounds with their infectiously smooth new release Control below.
