2015 is shaping up to be the year of the ‘sad, white guy on the piano’ with the likes of Tobias Jesso Jr. and Father John Misty releasing some heart-wrenching tracks. Tobias Jesso Jr.’s latest cut has been hovering around the Internet awhile when he played a few tear-jerkers on the piano for La Blogotheque. Without You is produced by Ariel Rechtshaid, one half of the now defunct band Girls, and the drums are done by Danielle Haim. It doesn’t knock over the beauty of Hollywood and How Could You Babe, rather compliments it with his stripped-back style of warm slabs of piano and enveloping vocals. Now for that album…
