Listen: Glass Animals - Gold Lime

Listen: Glass Animals - Gold Lime

A double cover from one of Oxford's finest, Glass Animals.

Standard protocol when you cover a song is; you cover one song and yeah that's about it. Glass Animals threw that out the window when they dropped Gold Lime. A homage to one of their favourite New York bands Yeah Yeah Yeahs, the song covered is Gold Lion, as they are playing Central Park Summer StageBut hold on, I said they broke the one rule to covering a song, well yeah they covered Erykah Badu in the same song. Two songs, in one. Relevance to New York? None as she's from Texas but that's a minor detail. Gold Lime has the wild threads of the Glass Animals we all know but instead emerging from the undergrowth Gold Lime saunters towards you. However, when their next album is coming out is anyone's guess.
