The Rosemount hotel is set to once again play host to one of the biggest parties in Perth to bring in the New Year. The stellar line-up includes Jebediah, Tired Lion, Mt. Mountain, FOAM, The Tommy Hawks and Ursula on the main stage and The Decline, Suburban & Coke, The Sperts, Verge Collection, Catbrush and The Limbs in the Four5Nine bar, as well as some surprise sets in the beer garden. The Rosemount New Year’s party is always a loose time, the key to it of course being the great music. So, we caught up with Tired Lion to find out what tunes they can’t be without on New Year's. Have a listen to the Perth band’s faves below and make sure they are on your playlist this year!

Daughters - The Hit

Sometimes it's just good to listen to loud music.

Speedy Ortiz - Dot X

Love this tune and the band.

Dot Hacker - Sideclimb

Got shown this band this year by Matt (guitar) and have been in love with them ever since.

MATT:

Eiffel 65 - Blue (Da Ba Dee)

Because it's a song everyone immediately get's up and dances to, no matter what.

Bloc Party - Helicopter

This is a party staple, and NYE is no exception.

Nirvana - Drain You

Can't have a playlist without a bit of grunge!

Kid Kudi - Pursuit Of Happiness

This song always makes me feel happy, I don't know why cause I don't think it's a happy song... but I listen to it whenevr I need a pump up.

SOPHIE:

Garbage - When I Grow Up

It's a sentimental song to me.

M.I.A - Paper Planes

Everyone always sings along.

Silverchair - Anthem For The Year 2000

Silverchair - C.L.A.S.S.I.C.

NICK:

Queen - Don't Stop Me Now

Because...Queen.

Back in my 18-year-old Amplifier Bar days, this was the song that was played at 2am and breathed new life into my intoxicated state
