From the moment I heard Melbourne outfit The Harpoons' first single Unforgettable I was hooked. That silky smooth R&B slow-jam had more groove than you can poke a stoke, and the follow-up single Can We Work It Out slows things down even more. It's simple, beautiful restrained stuff, and that song now has an equally sparse video clip, that clearly tells the tale of a struggling relationship. Two for two from these guys from me, and I look ever-forward to the release of their upcoming LP, Falling For You, due September 26 via Remote Control/Two Bright Lakes.
