New Music: Foreign/National – Always Blue

New Music: Foreign/National – Always Blue

Foreign/National’s latest track Always Blue is sharp piece of pysch-pop.

Melbourne tropical garage kings Foreign/National are back at it again with the release their new single Always Blue. On the surface the playful riffs and hip-shaking bass line give it a sunny sheen but delving into the lyrics it’s a far more moody track. And at times their lo-fi garage feel can shift into a contemporary re-interpretation of the 60s psychedelic scene that has been altered by the builds and drops of the electronic scene. Foreign/National choose a poppier route than other groups who have re-visited pysch scene like Tame Impala, but it's one that definitely works for them, and after this and Life Tourist, we're looking forward to seeing the band grow in 2015.
