New Music: Lisa Mitchell – Wah Ha (Seekae Remix)

Australian electronic trio Seekae flip Lisa Mitchell's single tune on its head.

After dominating 2014 with their third album and a signing to the legendary Future Classic label, Sydney-based electronic trio Seekae have returned to the spotlight with a stellar remix of Lisa Mitchell’s September-release, Wah Ha (check out her acoustic cover of the original HERE). Keeping Mitchell’s haunting vocals, the Seekae boys have ditched the guitar, adding a gradual synth build to the track before a percussion-heavy breakdown at around the three minute mark. It’s bouncy and fun, yet keeps the softness of the original, only leaving us to hope that there will be more Seekae x Lisa Mitchell collaborations in the future. Mitchell is about to embark on a Wah Ha acoustic tour, playing Oxford Art Factory March 25 (TICKETS), Howler March 27 (sold out) and Black Bear Lodge April 2 (sold out).
